Does the AirTag
come included?
No — our children's AirTag
accessories are designed to hold
an Apple AirTag, which is sold
separately. AirTag is available from
Apple directly,
JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman.
What types of AirTag
holders do you have for children?
We stock three types of AirTag
holder designed for children:
Wristbands: soft
silicone wristbands worn like a watch.
Comfortable for all-day wear at
shopping centres, theme parks and
on holiday. Available in multiple
colours and sizes.
Pin-on holders:
discreet holders that pin onto a
school uniform, jacket or bag strap.
Ideal for school situations where
a wristband isn't practical, or for
older children who prefer something
less visible.
Novelty clip-on holders:
fun shaped holders that
clip onto school bag zips, lunchbox
handles and jacket zips. Available
in shapes and colours children
actually want to carry — making
them far less likely to remove them.
Which option is best
for a young child at a theme park
or shopping centre?
Our wristband is the most popular
choice for younger children in busy
environments. It's worn on the wrist,
visible at a glance, and comfortable
enough for a full day out. Theme parks
and shopping centres also have
excellent Find My network coverage
due to the density of Apple device
users — meaning frequent location
updates.
Which option is best
for school?
Our pin-on holder is the most
practical choice for school use.
It attaches discreetly to a uniform,
jacket or bag strap and sits flat
out of sight. Many parents also
attach a novelty clip-on to their
child's school bag zip as a
set-and-forget solution.
What age are your
children's AirTag accessories
suitable for?
Our wristbands are suitable for
children from toddler age upward
and are available in sizes to fit
small wrists. Each product page
lists the wrist size range. For
very young toddlers we recommend
measuring your child's wrist before
ordering to confirm fit.
For babies and very young toddlers,
a pin-on holder on clothing is a
safer option than a wristband.
Can my child remove
the AirTag from the holder?
Our wristbands are designed to
keep the AirTag secure for normal
use. A determined older child could
remove it with effort. If your child
is likely to deliberately remove
the tracker, the pin-on holder on
a school bag or jacket — where it's
out of sight and out of mind — is
often the better choice.
Can AirTag track my
child in real time?
AirTag is not a real-time GPS
tracker. It updates your child's
location when their AirTag comes
within Bluetooth range of another
Apple device. In populated areas
like shopping centres and theme
parks this happens frequently —
typically every few minutes.
For most family safety use cases
this is more than sufficient. If
you require continuous real-time
tracking, a dedicated GPS tracker
with a mobile data subscription
may better suit your needs
alongside AirTag.

Is AirTag safe for
children to wear?
Apple AirTag uses Bluetooth Low
Energy technology to communicate
with nearby Apple devices. BLE
emissions are significantly lower
than those of a mobile phone. As
with any electronic device used
by children, we recommend following
Apple's guidelines and ensuring
the AirTag is secured in its holder
so it cannot be removed and mouthed
by very young children.
Is AirTag 2 compatible
with your children's accessories?
Yes — all our children's wristbands
and holders are compatible with both
the original Apple AirTag and AirTag 2.
Apple kept the physical dimensions
identical between generations.
What is the difference
between AirTag and a GPS tracker?
GPS trackers use satellite
positioning and a mobile SIM card
to report location in real time —
they require a monthly subscription
and batteries that last weeks rather
than a year.
Apple AirTag is a Bluetooth tracker
using Apple's Find My network. No
subscription, no SIM card, one year
battery life. In Australian suburbs
and cities, shopping centres and
theme parks the network is dense
enough to provide frequent location
updates. AirTag is not suitable as
a real-time tracker in remote or
rural areas.
